- Better. Stronger. Faster. The original Six Million Dollar Man, Steve Austin, was a man barely alive — until the OSI transformed him into the world's first Bionic Man! Now, he and Oscar Goldman are the most effective team in National Security. But a rogue faction in the OSI is making a power play for that position with a new type of infiltration agent — one that is completely obedient and robotic. Fan-favorite classic action figure Maskatron joins the official Six Million Dollar Man original television continuity. Can a soulless machine that wears Steve Austin's very face make the Six Million Dollar Man obsolete? And as Steve's world is threatened from within, his very actions unknowingly release an alien menace upon an unsuspecting world. It's a return to the original 1970s Six Million Dollar Man in all its groovy bionic glory!

Keep your reboots - this kind of genuine series continuation is what fans really want
By Bob Milne
I thoroughly enjoyed Six Million Dollar Man: Season 6. It had a very retro 70s look and feel to it that reminded me of the Saturday afternoon sci-fi shows I enjoyed as a kid. This is not a reboot, a rehash, or an update, but a comic book sequel that picks up after the end of the last televised season, as if no time at all had passed. Not only that, but it draws fan favorite action figure Maskatron into the story, with OSI looking to phase out bionics in favor of the new technology.
Yeah, great idea. I mean, what could possibly go wrong?
Really, this was just about everything I could have asked for in a continuation of the original series. It has all the glorious cheese of the era (right down to the clothing, the dialogue, and the special effects) and the same kinds of ridiculous plots and monsters, but without the budget constraints of broadcast TV. The Russians are once again the worst enemies American can dream of (especially with their giant robot program), space exploration is still daring and cool (with a dangerous hitchhiker returning on the Venus space probe), and the cool new technology of day (cassette tapes) has already been weaponized.
Revisiting a beloved classic television show is dangerous stuff. I've lost track of how many times Knight Rider has been rebooted now, but none of them were any good. Despite it's geek acclaim, the gritty new Battlestar Galactica didn't work for me at all. I was really looking forward to the reboot of V, but felt it completely missed the point of the original. The A-Team seemed to have the perfect cast, but squandered an opportunity by going for generic action-parody. For that reason alone, Six Million Dollar Man: Season 6 deserves serious kudos. It may not be the greatest comic book series ever written, but it absolutely nails the material, and offers up precisely the dose of nostalgia that I was looking for.

WE CAN REBUILD HIM
By Bennet Pomerantz
Note I recieved a PDF press copy from Dynamite directly
When I recieved my PDF copy from Dynamite, I herd there was a comic series. This is that comic series bound in book form.. I read this graphic novel with the same joy I savored the series in the late 70's. The magic the five seasons I spent with Steve, Rudy , Oscar and even Jamie were golden. I was in bionic heaven. The DVDs were priceless memories of an era gone by.
The graphic novel update was okay, I assume a original television continuity version would have done the same thing and made it more confusing by throwing away the Bionic TV movies, which does not happen using this graphic novel.
The characters in this graphic novel are drawn and do look like Lee Majors and Richard Anderson., which helps in this EXTRA SEASON of the show. The art is over the top and not too outlandish.. The story line fits the classic action figure Maskatron into the official Six Million Dollar Man original television continuity.
The only problem with this graphic novel and the comic series ended in a cliffhanger, NO six million dollar man ended in a cliffhanger that wasnt ever finished! The Publisher Dynamite need a short graphic novel to wrap this up this story line.. However .It still doesn't take away from the magic and memories this book gave me

Steve is Back!
By Nicola Mansfield
I grew up with the TV Show and am a big fan who thoroughly enjoyed this. This continues on from the original series only the gap in time appears to be ignored; it is now the present even though the series ended in the '70s. The story is quite involved with several plots going on all at the same time while being connected to each other. Ethical questions and decisions bring more to the story than just the action, which is great with all the TV show bionic sound effects included. The art is pretty good; I think I would have preferred the characters to appear more realistic to the TV show actors, but the artist has instead stayed close to the look while making them his own. The characters were realistic to how I would have expected them to be making this very enjoyable and I will definitely continue on with the series.
