Entertaing First Volume In Superman series

This is the first volume in what is slated to be a series of books devoted to the history of comicdom’s most famous super hero, the intrepid and seemingly indestructible Man of Steel, Superman.
Author Edward Gross, a Superman addict of long standing, has opted to approach the character’s amazing biography – one celebrated over the last seventy odd years in comics and newspaper strips, on radio, film, television, the Broadway stage and in cartoons – not in a chronological or linear manner as has usually been the case in such studies but rather in a piecemeal and non-linear fashion with essays, interviews and reviews designed to ultimately deliver a well-rounded and complete glimpse of the creation, evolution and even potential future of the planet Krpyton’s favorite son.
In this first volume, Gross covers the 10-year season-by season history of the TV series Smallville, conducts an interview with comic book writer Mark Waid, author of the Superman: Birthright comic book maxi series, discusses Zack Snyder’s 2015 celluloid rebooting of the Superman legend, The Man of Steel, and engages in a round table discussion with Waid and artist Jay Oliva about the role of storyboard visualization in bringing the world’s best-know super hero to the screen.
For both comic book fans and Superman aficionados, Voices From Krypton promises to be an entertaining as well as enlightening celebration of the world’s most remarkable and durable creations. The second volume is eagerly awaited.

Up..Up...and Away...the price of this book anyway.

Voices fro Krypton would have been great, had it been published with a $10 price tag...NOT with a $22.32 price. It is basically an interview between Ed Gross and Mark Waid with No color photos, just black and white, 172 pages and only 6"x9". It kind of belongs in one of the fan magazines as a continuing feature. Although Gross is an accomplished writer and the book is an enjoyable read, the content and production values (never mind the typos) doesn't justify its hefty cost. Sorry Ed.
