Sappy PG romance

Prudence Winslow was thrown from wealth to poverty after her father died, leaving only debt. Working as a nanny, she has sworn off men because she believes she was too invested in finding a "prince" to rescue her and give her the love she never received from her father. But low and behold, an actual prince turns up wanting to hire her. Prue declines because he's so handsome and she doesn't want to get lost in the fairytale fantasy again after she's finally begun to establish her independence. Of course Prince Ryan gets his way and a battle of wills and attraction ensues (but no sex!) as Prue helps him reconnect with his children.
If you're looking for an unabashedly sentimental romance with an over-the-top happy ending, you might enjoy "The Prince and the Nanny." Some of the writing is lovely. The dialogue is charming, and the scenes when things actually happen are enjoyable and amusing--but too few. So much of the book occurs in the characters' heads as Prue and Ryan each engage in boring and repetitive internal debate about what they want and what they should or shouldn't do.
And all the while, the author is beating us over the head with The Frog Prince fairytale. We're supposed to believe Prue has dated hundreds of men but dumped each after the first kiss failed to reveal a figurative prince. Now faced with actual prince, Prue wonders if he will turn into a toad if she kisses him. Her angst, unfortunately, receives too much air time.
The book tries too hard and explains too much, but I'd be willing to give the author another try because she shows real talent at writing dialogue.

Fantasy romance with fun family interactions

Light read that focuses on family and trust. If you are looking for a romance with any semblance of real life stations, you won't find it here. What you will find is a young lady who is strong willed, opinionated, passionate about family values related to children, oh and rich girl turned penniless. The hero is a prince that, as usual is amazingly handsome and powerful. He also loves his children very much even though he has no idea how to be a father. Nanny is hired. Prince begins to fall in love with the nanny, but even more important nanny teach prince how to be a father.
There are some very unrealistic aspects to the story and it's sort of sappy and definitely PG or even G rated. Never the less, I enjoyed it and would recommend the book to someone else.

A Fairy tale that celebrates the courage of loving another.

This book combined the elements of a classical fairie tale with the trials and dragons of every day life. Overcoming heartache and past disapointments that truly wound us more then the imaginary witches or trolls could. The main characters in this story face challenges that a reader could relate too. The author describes principles as important. The plot is sweetend because though the characters experiebce an overwhelming attraction to each other, they still consider the consequences of their actions, especially how their actions affect the Prines' son.
My only request would be for some editing.
But for an author who writes about the passion that can be experienced in unselfish love, only 5 stars will do!
